Prosperity Game - Day 7

Welcome to Day 7!

I am delighted that you are all still in the game!  Source Inc. has unlimited funds to distribute as gifts and we are overjoyed to be able to find people who want to receive!

New money is made every day, every minute even!  This will not stop when your game ends.  The game is working in your imagination but I hope you realize that the things that you "seed" in your imagination are possible in your every day reality.  Look for more and more abundance to enter into your life as you continue to imagine.  Take some time to feel what it would be like if you where able to do all those things that you imagined.  Really feel it.  The image is the design but the feelings are the fuel that bring it to you.  It may start small or show up in a big way, that will depend on your beliefs about attracting what you want.  It may be a good time to pause in the game and make a list of your beliefs about money, work, and life. Decide to release the ones that hold you back and replace them with new ideas that are in alignment with your heart.

Today you will have $21000 go spend.  Have fun!

I have a story to tell about my experience with opening to abundance in a big way.
Back in the early 2000's, the stock market was in the midst of a "tech bubble" .  I was new to stocks at that time and had put a little bit of money in the market with a broker.  I began with about $1500.00.  For the first year it grew slowly.  I was working on my beliefs about money at the time and opening to see more happen with it.  Well, Bam!  It started to grow faster.....3000.....6500....10000....then almost overnight it shot to 21000.  In my mind I saw this continuing and becoming a millionaire in a year as it was doubling so frequently.  This was so BIG for me at the time.  That 21K was half our annual family  income made in the market in less than 6 months.  Wow.  You would think I would be totally happy and I was but I was also freaking out!  Yes, can you believe it?  I did not believe it!  I slammed right into my beliefs and perceptions about money.  I heard the voices of my parents, my friends, my siblings in my head.  All kinds of judgement, expectations, etc. This was more intense for me than I feel like I can convey in writing, but let me say that I knew that I had work to do and that I was not ready for overnight millions. So what happened?  The market began to take a dive soon after that 21K mark was reached and a trader friend who managed his own portfolio called me and told me to get my money out and do it NOW!  If I had listened to him I would have held on to my 21K and had it to trade another day.  I called my broker and he convinced me to hold.  As the days went by this repeated a few times with two people advising me with opposite advice.  I held.  I lost all but 6K of it.  In truth, that was my comfort level.  I was not ready for the 21K at that time.  From there, I was angry at my broker and mostly at myself but it was a wake-up call and I began to change my belief systems and also, learn how the market worked and manage my own trading account.  In the subsequent years I got very good at trading and began to set a goal for what I wanted to make each year and each year I more than met that goal.  I do not set goals to double my money but I set goals that seem just out of reach like 25-30% total return for the year.  I set goals that feel like they would take some divine intervention to see realized and I have met those goals in EVERY year that I was trading!  Now my comfort level with how much money I can handle is much higher but I am aiming even higher because I want to do some great things with money.

Yesterday I spend my 13K on gutters and a rain water catchment system for my NC house!  I also bought high speed blenders to give as gifts to my children and friends who would absolutely love to have one but might not feel they have the money to put out for a $500 blender.  I bought other stuff to support my work, improve my home ( window treatments, linens, furniture, etc.), and I signed up for some courses to add to my skills and I made a donation to the Nature Conservancy.  Today I am going car shopping!

Happy Imaginings,
Sue

  1. Playing more with my home space:
Remodel upstairs room and garage, build a better stairway, add second a/c unit to that area, add full bathroom, add long sliding glass doors to W side of upstairs room stepping out onto a deck that has stairs down the side. I'm guessing this $$ will cover all that!
    Thanks, Flow!

  2. Sue are you still trading? I enjoyed reading your trading story. Thanks for reminding me about the high power blenders - that will be on tomorrow's spending list.

  3. Today we finally have enough money to do our master bathroom renovation that I am DYING to do. We have the weirdest master bath layout with a garden tub, toilet, and sink in one bathroom and a shower, toilet and sink in another and a weird little hallway in the middle that also leads to the 4th bedroom. One of the bathrooms is also our guest bath. SO, here's what is going to happen with the 20K. Bathroom #1 (guest bath): Close off the door to the master bedroom and add a built in shelf where it is. Replace box flourescent light with nice bar light. Add light in shower/toilet area. Replace contractor toilet paper and towel bar with nice ones.

Bathroom #2 (master bath): Close off weird hallway. Make a closet at the office end and move the toilet into the bathroom end, from the weird little closet it is in. Create a linen closet in the rest of the hallway space. Take out the garden tub and replace with a beautiful dual headed tiled shower with bench, or perhaps a tub/shower combo. Replace frosted window with glass brick. Replace single sink with double vanity and box flourescent light with nice bar light. Tile the floor. Add a teak bench and mat, new towels, and accessories. Replace closet doors with solid ones.

  4. I'm starting to realize that I do set limits on myself in terms of what I think I can handle, and probably the reason I don't have even more prosperity in my life (although I have quite a bit) is because of those self-imposed limits.

Yesterday my boss came into my office and informed me he was giving me a substantial year-end bonus. This was completely unexpected as the company has no formal bonus plan and I've been on the job not even five months. Was that bonus a result of me expanding my mind from playing this game????? By the way I plan to get a full hour massage this weekend with some of that money, something I've been putting off because it "wasn't in the budget."

Today I bought tickets to the Super Bowl in Dallas plus air fare and a night in a 4 star hotel. Although I won't actually use this stuff today I did spend all the money so I hope that counts.

  5. Went to the Green School in Bali. Amazing place, check out there website. Yesterday we signed up the kids at the school and with the rest of the money I made a reservation at Puri Ganesha Villas - Bali, Indonesia. And I'm also gonna attend some raw food classes. Life is good, thank you!!

Because i belief that a school like the green school should be accessible to anybody who is interested, today I payed scholarship for two local kids. Tomorrow is there first day of school, we will be there too!!

I'm off to my raw food class.

  6. Lyn, I have not been trading since May 08 as I noticed a decline was in the works and I was beginning to have other plans for my money. I moved it into a liquid money market at the time with plans to buy a house in North Carolina and do a few other things with it. As you know, we did not find the right house until May 09 and our offer sat unaccepted for another year and we are now happy owners of it. I made my first stock purchase in years just two days ago. We will see how it goes. I am not sure I want to stay in the market much but I saw a chance to make a quick bit and dipped my foot in the water, actually more like a toe and if it goes my way, I will make enough to buy a rug. The rest of my money is elsewhere invested at the moment and doing very well.

  7. Annabanana, I can't wait to see the bathroom renovations.

Tom, Way to go! I am thankful that you shared your story of reflection and the bonus that you attracted. I know this stuff works so I am sure you will see more good stuff flowing your way as you expand to receive more.

Zorawalli, the Green School is beautiful! I want to come and visit you while you are there!

  8. I am spending the money on equiping my kitchen so that I have the tools I need to make all of my meals at home. That would eliminate processed, precooked, etc. foods from my diet. I would spend the rest on new furniture for the house because I have always dreamed of buying new furniture and have only bought new family room furniture in my entire lifetime.

  9. On day 3 of the prosperity game I bought new clothes for work/office. While driving home from work yesterday a "voice" said "go to Ross for pants". I went there and found 3 pair of nice pants in my size; actually the same pants but in different colors. I checked out and later realized that I had been charged for only 2 pair. Maybe I should go back to Ross and tell of the mistake, but I'm also sort of thinking "wow, I got 3 great pair of pants of well under $30 and maybe that's meant to be".
Anyway, today I spent more money on the NC house to replace the shingles (architectural grade) and the siding (Hardie board). I also bought granite counter tops for our Florida house and a Schecter Hellcat VI Electric Guitar for me!

  10. Okay, I read all the back posts now. And maybe I'll jump in! I missed the early days, but then, I too have had a sudden windfall of money with my writing career and it freaked me out so much that I developed a mystery illness with my RSI and spent $5,000 trying to figure it out only to find out it was psychosomatic. Well, I'm ready to have more this time.

With $21,000...it's not quite enough to comfortably move to MAryland. Anyway, it'll be boring if I use every money amount to buy progressively better houses in Maryland. So I think I'd buy a ticket to NYC, have a couple days in Manhattan eating amazing food and buying vintage clothes as Screaming Mimi's or wherever else I can find it, and then I'd take the train to Rhinebeck, visit Jenn and treat her to dinner this time! Then I'd book Dade and I an amazing vacation...maybe one of those Canadian cruises or train journeys, or to Germany for some book research and ancestral connection...
